Claimed	The NYPD and FBI conspired to assassinate Malcolm X. An undercover NYPD officer, Ray Wood, confessed on his deathbed that he was forced to ensure Malcolm X's security detail was arrested before the assassination. The NYPD intentionally withdrew officers from the Audubon Ballroom on the day of the assassination. Federal agents and undercover operatives were present during the assassination but took no action to prevent it. Law enforcement agencies covered up their roles and withheld evidence.
