Claimed	Three women saw a strange creature with large head, red eyes, and bumps on its head on January 20, 1996. A UFO crashed near Varginha and was recovered by the military. Brazilian authorities captured one or more extraterrestrial beings. Military personnel and trucks were seen in the area, and there were animal deaths at a local zoo. A doctor saw a 20-second video of the alien, and a 35-second video exists.
Evidence / consensus	The Brazilian Army concluded that the creature sighting was a case of mistaken identity and that military activity was routine. No physical evidence of extraterrestrial craft or beings has been produced.
