Claimed	Hundreds of witnesses reported large, triangular, silent objects with bright lights and a central flashing light. On March 30, 1990, radar detected an unknown object and two Belgian Air Force F-16s were scrambled; they attempted nine interceptions and obtained radar locks, but pilots reported no visual contact. Some claim the object performed maneuvers beyond known aircraft capabilities, such as rapid altitude changes and speeds over 1,000 mph. A famous photograph of the object was later revealed to be a hoax, possibly a polystyrene model with lights. The Belgian Air Force released a report detailing the events, but no definitive explanation was given.
