Summary	David Grusch, a former U.S. intelligence officer, claims the U.S. government has secretly recovered and reverse-engineered non-human spacecraft, with some dating back to a 1933 Italian recovery. Claimed	The U.S. government possesses 'quite a number' of non-human origin vehicles. A secret program exists to recover and reverse-engineer crashed alien spacecraft. A spacecraft of alien origin was recovered by Mussolini's government in 1933 and later obtained by the U.S. in 1944-45 with Vatican and Five Eyes assistance. People have been threatened and killed to conceal these programs. Grusch faced reprisals for investigating and was denied access to the program.
Evidence / consensus	NASA and the Department of Defense deny the claims, stating no such programs exist and no extraterrestrial life has been discovered. Independent experts have dismissed the claims due to lack of evidence.
